Workout Jar – use during TV commercials
Take a jar like a mason jar or a bowl and put tiny pieces of paper with an exercise on it in the bowl (I used an old candy dish). Use a different color of paper to represent the type of exercise, for example – red for cardio, blue for abs, yellow for legs, orange for arms. What I did was cut different colored sticky notes into smaller pieces. I wrote a random exercise on each piece, for example of cardio – 25 jumping jacks, 25 seconds running in place, 25 mountain climbers, 25 burpees, etc.; and for arms – 25 bicep curls, 25 hammer curls, 25 shoulder flys, 25 shoulder presses; 25 tricep kickbacks, etc. Use whatever workouts you know how to do and put a single one on each of the slips of paper. You can vary the amount of repetitions but what I used is just a quick workout. When you are ready to workout, you can tell yourself to draw out of the jar 3 red slips (cardio) and maybe 1 of the rest of the colors. This is similar to HIIT (high-intensity interval training) in that you should do these fast (with good form) and take a short break before moving onto the next exercise. This is something I do when I can tell I need a quick break from studying or you can do this during a commercial on TV…or when you do/eat something bad! Here are some examples of the workouts you can use:
Cardio
25 jumping jacks            25 wacky jacks            25 burpees            25 second run in place            25 mountain climbers            25 high knees            25 jump shots            25 skips
Legs/Butt
25 squats            25 calf raises             25 donkey kicks            25 second bridge            25 sec wall squat            25 fire hydrants            25 pleeas            25 leg lifts            25 side lunges
Arms
25 shoulder presses            25 bicep curls            25 second plank            25 hammer curls            25 tricep kickbacks            25 upright rows            25 pushups
Abs
25 crunches            25 fifer scissors            25 sitting bicycles            25 sit ups
